European Studies
The Centre for European Studies, in Trinity College, Dublin, established in 1987. The Centre for European Studies is an administrative umbrella coordinating the contribution of the Departments of French, German, Hispanic Studies, Italian, Russian and Slavonic Studies (including Polish), History, Political Science, Economics and Sociology to its interdisciplinary undergraduate programme. The Moderatorship in European Studies is a full-time four-year undergraduate course of study, which is broad in focus, covering the continent of Europe, including Russia, from the Renaissance to the present. In terms of intellectual disciplines, it is firmly rooted in the humanities with a strong language component.
